Mr. Agbogidi Bruce Okpeke is the Port Captain/DPA serving the Company’s fleet. He is a consummate sea-going professional of over 28 years’ experience. He attended maritime Academy of Nigeria, Oron between 1984-1986. Thereafter he proceeded to Arab Academy for Science and Technology, Alexandria, Egypt where he obtained his Certificate of Competency Class 2/1 (Deck).
He was with the defunct Nigeria National Shipping Lines Limited as chief officer and later as master of utility boats, supply/anchor handling tugs, latform maintenance/diving supports belonging to O.I.L (Nig)Ltd/Tidex/Phoenix ocean lines from 1995-2004.
He has worked onboard M.T Gracious and M.T Agboyi; owned by Giker Ocean Tankers, a subsidiary of Ascon Oil Limited, as Master from 2005-2011. Between 2011-2013, he was Master of M.T Dugbaki (22,807mt,GRT); managed by Jessco marine Services Limited. He also has certificate from DNV-GL Academy for DPA, Maritime and Accident Investigation and Risk Assessment, Internal Auditor MLC/ISM/ISPS.
