Mr Onyekwelu Hyginus Iheanacho

Mr. Onyekwelu Hyginus Iheanacho serves as the Marine Superintendent overseeing the company’s fleet. With over 34 years of experience in the maritime industry, he is a seasoned professional in his field. He completed his education at the Maritime Academy of Nigeria, Oron, Akwa Ibom, Nigeria, from 1985 to 1987, and later pursued further studies at South Tyneside College, South Shields, United Kingdom, in 1993. He obtained his Certificate of Competency 2 from the same college in 2002 and acquired his Marine Superintendent Certificate in 2014 at the DVN-GL Training Center in Dubai.

Throughout his career, Mr. Iheanacho has held various key positions, including serving as the second engineer on the M.V. Gerpain Highlander, an offshore supply/emergency vessel owned by North Star Shipping in Aberdeen, Scotland. He also worked as the Chief Engineer on the M.T. Smith Great Atlantic, a 1000BHP oil tanker owned and managed by Aldawood Nigeria Limited in Apapa, Lagos, Nigeria. Additionally, he served as the Chief Engineer on board the M.T. Gracious, a 7600dwt and 4000bhp oil tanker, owned and managed by Kiken Ocean Tanker Limited between 2005 and 2010. From 2010 to 2013, Mr. Iheanacho held the positions of Chief Engineer and 2nd Engineer on board the M.T.D Roseline, an oil tanker of 17,106MT and 7,200BHT, owned and managed by Azimuth Shipping Lines Limited.
