Mr. Agbogidi Bruce Okpeke

Mr. Agbogidi Bruce Okpeke serves as the Port Captain/DPA overseeing the Company’s fleet. With an extensive career spanning over 28 years, he is a highly skilled maritime professional. He attended the Maritime Academy of Nigeria, Oron, from 1984 to 1986, followed by further studies at the Arab Academy for Science and Technology in Alexandria, Egypt, where he obtained his Certificate of Competency Class 2/1 (Deck).

Mr. Okpeke’s experience includes serving with the defunct Nigeria National Shipping Lines Limited as chief officer and later as master of utility boats, supply/anchor handling tugs, platform maintenance/diving supports belonging to O.I.L (Nig)Ltd/Tidex/Phoenix ocean lines from 1995 to 2004. He has also worked on board the M.T. Gracious and M.T. Agboyi, vessels owned by Giker Ocean Tankers, a subsidiary of Ascon Oil Limited, as Master from 2005 to 2011. Between 2011 and 2013, he held the position of Master on the M.T. Dugbaki (22,807mt, GRT), managed by Jessco Marine Services Limited.

Furthermore, Mr. Okpeke has certifications from the DNV-GL Academy for DPA, Maritime and Accident Investigation, and Risk Assessment, as well as being an Internal Auditor for MLC/ISM/ISPS.
